Q: How can I sign up?
A: From our website, click the "Sign Up" link and submit your cell phone number. We'll text you a PIN number to make sure it's really you, and you can either reply "YES" to the PIN message, or enter the PIN onto the next signup page. That's it, you're signed up! We'd love it if you filled in the rest of your profile information while you're at it, just so we can serve you better.
Q: Can my friend sign up without using the website?
A: Sure, just have him or her text JOIN to 654654. We'll send them a confirmation message, just to be sure, and they're in! Please ask them to enter their profile information on our website the next time they're near a computer, though.
Q: How do I get one of those cool pictures to show up on my profile and my votes?
A: Click on the MyProfile button. Inside your profile page, you can upload any image you want. Note that it will be displayed at 70x70 pixel resolution. We will re-scale larger images to fit.
Q: How do I vote on a survey?
A: There are two kinds of surveys, ones with answers in the same message as the questions, and ones where you have to ask for the answers separately (because they don't fit).

If they answers are in with the question, just text back the 3-letter answer code to vote.

If the answers are not in the same message with the question, you need to ask for them. To see the answers, text back the 2-letter survey code. The survey code is shown at the end of the survey. The next thing that happens is we text you the possible answers. To vote, you just text us the 3-letter answer code, they are listed in the answer message.
Q: I'm bored and I want to get more prediction surveys. Can I get more?
A: Each time you text "GET" to 654654, we'll send you a new prediction survey. Go wild.
Q: I got a survey I wanted to vote on but I deleted it. Can I get it back?
A: Text LAST to 654654 and we will re-send you the last survey you got. Try that.
Q: I tried texting GET and a survey code but you say the code isn't valid. Why?
A: Surveys become unavailable when the answer becomes known. Also if the survey is for something like a sporting event, voting stops once the game starts.
Q: I want to change my vote.
A: Sorry, you can't do that. Only one vote is permitted per survey.
Q: Can I see what surveys I voted on?
A: Sure! Go to the My Profile page on the website. Underneath your score is a link that says "show vote history." Click on that to see all of the surveys you voted on, what you answered, and whether you were right.
Q: How can I see my score and rank?
A: There are three ways. You can text "SCORE" to 654654 and we will send you a text message with your score, accuracy, and rank. If you have logged in to your Profile page and you accept cookies, your score and rank should automatically appear on the home page of our website. Finally, if you log in to your Profile page, your score, and rank will be listed.
Q: How do I know what commands I can use on my cell phone?
A: Text "MORE HELP" to 654654 and we will text you back a list of commands. You can get detailed help on any command by texting the command then "HELP" to 654654 (for example: "SCORE HELP").

The commands are: BAL, GET, HOWTO, JOIN, LAST, MORE HELP, and SCORE. You can also text HELP for basic help, and STOP to cancel your subscription.

Text BAL to see which subscription plan you are on and when your renewal date is.
Text GET to get a new survey.
Text HOWTO for instructions on how to vote.
Text JOIN to join PredictoMobile, if you are not already a member.
Text LAST to get the most recent survey re-sent to your phone.

Q: Does anybody actually win the cash prizes?
A: Yes! Click on "Winners" on our home page and you can see who has already won. We're just getting started, so there might not be many listings yet, but we really, really want to give away money!
Q: How do I know if I've won a prize?
A: Each month, we hold a cash prize drawing. If you gave a postal address in your Profile, we'll mail a confirmation letter there, and then mail you your check. If you did not give us a postal address, we will try to notify you by calling your cell phone.
Q: How do you compute scores?
A: Your score combines your accuracy (% correct) with the number of predictions you have made and the difficulty of the survey. It's easy to get your first two predictions correct (100% accuracy) and quit, but that won't get you many points. If you vote a lot and are even a little more accurate than 50%, your score can rise quickly. Being right on a survey where the majority of people were wrong is worth a lot more than the other way around. A high score rewards those members who are consistently ahead of the pack, who get tough questions right, and who participate. Remember, your subscription plan lets you make an unlimited number of predictions, so get in there!
Q: Why can't I play from outside the US?
A: First, there is no way to route your text messages to our system, so we can't receive your votes. Second, different countries have different laws regarding storage and use of personal information, contests, sweepstakes, etc. We can't keep track of it all, so we just serve legal US residents.
Q: I want to cancel, what do I do?
A: Just text "STOP" to 654654. We'll cancel your subscription. Right away, we will stop sending you prediction questions, news updates, and other administrative messages. If you cancel after your subscription has renewed but before you have received your cell phone bill, you will see one last monthly charge. But, we will not charge any new amounts on your phone bill after you cancel.
